HELL YEAH! A friend of mine just called from London and I wish I could go back to London as well. I think it doesn’t even has to be London. I’d also be OK with New York City, Paris, Stockholm, Capetown, Shanghai, … well, I don’t mind. I’m still stuck in the south of Germany and I really need to leave now.
I was in London eight months ago and I have to think about it now because of this special phone call. It was a great time and I like that city a lot, though it was very expensive: fashion, fashion, fashion! And it was very interesting to meet so many different types of people, except the Germans. That was probably the wrong phrase. Actually, I didn’t even meet any “Germs” in London. That’s an odd thing. I always meet “german beings”. I even met a guy living in the same village (a small one) like me, when I was in Croatia last year. That’s awkward, isn’t it? Okay, back to London. Besides all the friendly and interesting people, London is a city with a special atmosphere. I don’t know why, but I felt at home over there. I just enjoyed strolling through the urban core mhh… GOOD TIMES, definitely! And as you may noticed, I love to reminisce about that!
I really have to be tough right now. My homeboy (yeah) leaves to NYC over the summer, another one to the UK, Shanghai, others are in Barcelona AND SO ON. Nearly everybody is abroad or will be at least. And I’m still sitting here, okay I don’t have a choice at the moment, and I don’t know where I should spend the coming year. Umm… any suggestions? I really have to work my ass off now and I’m gonna start immediately. A likely story!

Kate Nash - My Best Friend Is You

She’s awesome! For those who don’t know Kate Nash: She’s a very talented, 22-years old musician from London. She recorded her first album in 2007, it’s called “Made of Bricks”, I loved it. It’s fresh and unique. Just like the new one. Her new album is named “My Best Friend Is You” and it was released about a week ago. Forget what I wrote yesterday, I am so not 2008 anymore. I bought the album only 4 days after its’ release wooho, applause! I really like her voice and especially her pronunciation. Very phonetic! Go and get it, it’s an enrichment!

THOUGHT I WAS DEAD?

Indeed I was. I had ALOTOF nasty exams in the last two weeks. Therefore I had to study very hard, at least I should have had to. On the one hand I am determined. I want to reach my goals and I would do anything for my dreams to come true, honestly. But on the other hand I am utterly sluggard. I don’t know why, but I love to hang around in bed all day. That’s down my alley! Frankly speaking, that’s what I did the last four days. I just enjoy having so much time at present, wooow. Exams are done, hence school is done = AWESOME! Now I arrived at the “stage of research”. The first step is to find a job for the next three months. Yep, I really need to work. The next step is to get an internship placement anywhere in the world, the place really doesn’t matter. I want to work with a photographer, filmmaker, cinematographer, whatsoever. When I found a fitting placement, I will have to move, probably. But I am very excited about that. I really don’t want to stuck here any longer. (Mhm, it kinda sucks.) Fortunately, I can manage all that stuff out of my (huge, well-positioned and very comfortable) bed. I know, I am the lucky dog hahah…

MGMT - Congratulations

Summarized I can say: LIFE IS TREATING ME WELL. I mean, I am allowed to sleep late every day, that’s precious. However, I had to attend the surgeon today, because I had pangs in the last days. The surgeon has the solution and knows what to do: surgery. I didn’t have to deal with such things in the past so that’s my first surgery and I am toootally anxious. Rightly! I already had to fix a date, it’s in about two weeks, so keep your fingers crossed! I will have a lot of time to blog and that’s what I am going to do, hopefully.
Because of the bad news today, I bought the new album of MGMT on the way back home by myself (and just for me). It’s called “Congratulations”. Most of you probably know their new work already, but yeah.. what should I say? I am always so 2008, you’re allowed to laugh at me. Back to MGMT… my first impression is very good. I listened to it for the first time while writing this blog, thus I am not THAT concentrated. Neither on the blog post I am writing, nor on MGMT resounding in the background. Alongside I am watching Greys Anatomy, that’s probably too much. Well yeah, that’s awkward… I’ll get some fresh air on the balcony now, turn the music louder and listen to it once more, without being distracted. I think the boys did a good job again…

Sunset, Good Times by FIN

Ahh… I’m really stressed out at the moment. There is SO much work to do, but too little time. We have holidays at the moment, but I can’t enjoy them. No way! We have final exams next week and I’m in arrears with learning all that stuff, especially maths. Ohoh! Whatever… There are also a lot of photo shoots I have to do in the next few weeks. I’m very excited!
I’m sitting on my balcony right now, watching the sunset and listening to the hockey match on the radio. I’m feeling super-duper. HA! And the “Augsburger Panther” (my fav hockey team) scored a goal a few seconds ago. My mood is getting better every minute huhu. Semi-final we’re coming. Oh my goshhh another goal! I can’t stand it any longer. That makes me go insane. Well, I think I should stop blogging now, I’m (way too much) fixated on the hockey match at the moment. Pray for Team Augsburg! Shalalalala…

Good mood, good picture! I like this one very much. Good-looking though I took it next to the ugliest thing in town: the nuclear power station.

PLAY-OFFS 09/10.

…and it was phenomenal again. My favorite team, the “Augsburger Panther”, were grandiose yesterday. They were positioned in the middle of the ranking list (#8) before the play-offs started. Their actual opponents are the EBB (“Eisbären Berlin”), who head the table. So it’s a fierce competition. But the hockey team from Augsburg really fights for the title “Champion 09/10“. And we’ll win! I’m quite optimistic. My team won yesterday, so we got a total score of 1-1 now (because Berlin won on tuesday). We’ll see which team will win tomorrow. I’m very excited! The competition is over after one of the teams won 3 matches. It’s an uphill struggle, as you see. Hopefully I will have the time and the inspiration to blog something more creative tomorrow. (:

APRIL FOOLS’ DAY.

It’s the 1st of April today and none played an April Fool’s joke on me. Wow. That sucks! I love those jokes, especially the authentic ones. Well, the day is not over yet.
Alright. I just came back home a few minutes ago. As I wrote in my last post, I was on the Shout Out Louds concert in Stuttgart yesterday. It was a m a a a a a z i n g ! The new album (“Work”) is great, I really enjoyed listening to their new songs. Bebban looked gorgeous again, and the guys were handsome as always. The supporting act was nice too. They are called “Nervous Nellie”, also from Stockholm, Sweden. I don’t know why, but the lead singer and his twin brother were painted white in the face. WHY? I already googled it in vain. If anybody knows, tell me! Whatever…

I’m very stressed out at the moment, because I’m always on the run. Final exams in two weeks and I haven’t done anything yet. I don’t feel happy about it, but that’s life. So, I have to leave again. I got two tickets for the hockey match today. Augsburger Panther vs. Eisbären Berlin, I’m so excited. I’m a supporter of the “Augsburger Panther”. We are in the play-offs right now, it’s the quarter final against Berlin tonight. I think my team will win in a walk today, (I hope so at least). I’m going to take my camera with me to the stadium for the first time today, because I bought a smaller one. I’m not allowed to get in with those supercool DSLR cameras. What a pity! I hope I can take a few pictures today and I will upload them as soon as possible (tomorrow, hahah). Okay, check it out tomorrow! And all the people from Augsburg should come to the Curt-Frenzel-Stadium today to support the icehockey team! YAY.

GOOD OR BAD?

That’s the question…
I got two messages today. A good one and unfortunately a bad one. To start with the bad one… I’ll be damned! After a very hard day I was talking to my mum for a long time. She told me a terrible secret (!). Unbelievable that she was able to keep that message dark for such a long time. Wow. I think it changed my life. So what…

The good one, yeeeah! Okay. Frankly Speaking it was a pretty good one. I received two tickets for the Shout Out Louds concert in Stuttgart(GER) tomorrow.

I’m so happy about that. They are amazing! I haven’t bought their new album named “Work” yet, which was released on 26 of February, because I wanted to be surprised while standing in the middle of the Shout-Out-Louds-Crowd. Honestly, I was praying to get a ticket for the show. Nahh, I wasn’t praying, but I was hoping that someone (whoever!) will send me one. And here it is. BRILLIANT!

I have already seen them live on stage for two times. Their performance is breathtaking. I would describe it as … emotional, I think. I suddenly felt a big sense of delight. Okay, that sounds weird. But it’s the plain truth. I will absolutely enjoy the concert tomorrow and I’m sure that the new album is as great/awesome/salami as the last. Hmm, I’m thinking about my favorite song right now and I’m undecided. If I had to choose one, I would probably pick “Normandie” (or “Please Please Please” – still undecided). BAD HAIR DAY?

Unfortunately, it was not only the hair. I had a splitting headache today. Got back home from school at 3PM and went to sleep until 6. Now I am sitting on my bed, the headache is still with me, wondering what I could do now, because I am SO not tired.

While writing those lines I got a brilliant idea. Since I got my new MacBook, I haven’t tried to experience with “GarageBand” yet. And that’s what I am going to do now… Making music (or at least listening to music) is the best way to get away from it all. No headache, no exams, no nothing. There’s only music in your head. And that makes me feel much better. Have you ever tried it?

ENJOYING LIFE.

Today’s the most lovely day, everybody has to enjoy life. It’s SPRINGTIME. Yep. We finally got good weather down in South Germany. Pleasurable feeling, agreeable climate, that’s what this day is like. I was just sitting on the balcony for about three hours, catching some rays. Perfectly wonderful. Isn’t it? I think most of the people living in Germany did the same today. Even if it was just by looking out of the window while they were working or whatever. I hope that we will get some more days like this in the next time.

ANXIETY ABOUT THE FUTURE.

My biggest problem at the moment. I am so not sure what to do in the future.
I was always thinking about taking part in a photography program at university, because I love photography. But there are so many doubts now, probably caused by future prospects. Final exams soon and I still don’t know what to do when school is over. DAMN!
Does anybody out there has/had the same problem? As the case may be: How did you come to a decision?
